Who Is a Candidate for BOTOX?

A consultation with an expert injector will help determine whether wrinkle relaxers are the best treatment for your specific cosmetic goals. Candidates for BOTOX are generally healthy adults who are bothered by moderate to severe forehead creases, Crow's feet, or frown lines. We will review your medical history and conduct a thorough examination of your skin during this appointment to ensure your candidacy for BOTOX. Treatment is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding at this time.

What Can I Expect from BOTOX Injections?

During your consultation at VIVIFY Med Spa, we will perform a skin analysis to determine which areas would benefit from treatment. BOTOX is performed as a quick, outpatient procedure so your injections can often be administered during the same visit. We inject the solution into your problem areas using a small needle. BOTOX treatment takes approximately 5 – 10 minutes to administer, and most patients notice only minor discomfort (such as a pinprick or pinching sensation). At the end of your visit, you are free to get right back to your day in and around Tampa, FL.

You may see a bit of minor bruising, swelling, and redness in the treatment sites, but these symptoms shouldn't last long. Our aesthetic team might recommend that you avoid rigorous physical activity and avoid touching the injection sites for about a day. Within 48 – 72 hours, you will begin to experience your desired results. BOTOX can deliver up to four months of youthful, natural-looking improvements for the majority of patients. During your consultation, the VIVIFY Med Spa staff will customize a treatment plan based on your desired results.
